Terms of Service: Classes & Bookings

These terms apply when you book or attend a class with Tylen Earl, doing business as Silver State BBQ Supply, based in Fernley, Nevada ("we," "us"). By booking, you agree to these terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy.

1. Bookings and payment. A seat is reserved once payment is complete. Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we don't see or store your full card number. Each class lists what's included and its price on the booking page, and has limited seats and a minimum age. For the Nov 14 Thanksgiving BBQ Special, a seat is Hands-on Thanksgiving turkey class + feast: $184, or $349 for a couple (two people at one station). We tell you the class location, time and what to bring in your confirmation.

2. Refunds, cancellations and transfers follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms.

3. Waiver required. Every guest must sign our participant waiver (including the photo/video section) when registering, before taking part. Guests who haven't signed can't participate.

4. Adults only for hands-on. You must be 18 or older to take part in hands-on food prep. If we ever offer a class open to younger guests, we'll say so on the booking page.

5. Food safety and allergies. Classes involve raw poultry, knives, live fire and common allergens. Rubs, brines, sauces and sides may contain or touch any of the nine major U.S. food allergens: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame. Tell us about allergies when you book. We'll list ingredients, but we can't guarantee any item is allergen-free. Follow staff instructions, including handwashing, gloves and staying out of staff-only areas. Every guest answers a short health check on arrival; if you don't pass it, you can't participate (see the Refund Policy for your credit).

6. Take-home food. If we hand you food to take home, keeping it safe is up to you. Follow the label: keep it cold, refrigerate it within 2 hours, cook raw poultry to 165°F, and cook or freeze by the date shown. We aren't responsible for food that isn't stored, handled or cooked as labeled after handoff.

7. Photos and video. We may photograph or film classes for marketing. How we use images, and how to opt out (including the "No Photos" wristband), are explained in the photo/video section of the waiver you sign. You may also email [email protected] at any time with photo questions.

8. Conduct. Be respectful and follow safety instructions. No alcohol or drugs before or during hands-on prep. Stay out of marked cooking and smoker areas unless staff invite you in. We may remove anyone who is unsafe, disruptive or doesn't follow instructions, without a refund.

9. Assumption of risk. Cooking classes carry real risks, including cuts, burns, smoke, slips in the dark, cold weather and foodborne illness. You take part voluntarily and accept those risks as described in the waiver.

10. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent Nevada law allows, our total liability arising from a class or booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

11. Text messages. If you opt in, Tylen Earl, doing business as Silver State BBQ Supply sends class texts (booking confirmations, reminders, weather updates) and, if you separately agree, marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; we'll send one confirmation and then stop. Reply HELP for help, or contact [email protected] / (435) 503-2294. To rejoin, sign up again. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting in is never required to book. For privacy questions, see our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law. These terms are governed by Nevada law. Any dispute will be brought in the state courts located in Lyon County, Nevada, unless the law requires otherwise.

13. Changes. We may update these terms. The version posted on the date you book applies to that booking. We'll post the new effective date at the top.
